Meet The Staff

Willie J. Young

Senior Director

Willie has served as Director of Off-Campus Student Services since 1998. He has been at The Ohio State University since 1990. He worked in Residence Life before assuming the current position. His previous positions at other institutions have included: Vice President of Student Life, Dean of Students, Athletic Director, Director of Student Activities, Assistant Dean in Residence Life and a Counselor.

Willie's seminal belief throughout his career has been, "Every flower doesn't bloom the first day of spring".

Sean M. McLaughlin

Sean began his career in education and Student Life administration as an undergraduate student when he served as the student director of Orientation 1993 at his undergraduate alma mater, Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, PA. Sean holds a B.S.Ed. in secondary education, general science from Duquesne and he taught science for four years at Hyattsville Middle School in Prince George's County, Maryland. He returned to Duquesne University in 1998 as the evening supervisor of the Duquesne Union.

In 2000 Sean came to The Ohio State University to pursue graduate work in Higher Education and Student Life Administration and also served as the graduate administrative associate for University Orientation in the office of Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience. He graduated with his M.A. in Higher Education and Student Life in 2002 and has been a part of the Off-Campus Student Services Staff since.

Dilnavaz N. Cama

Program Coordinator

Dilnavaz is the Program Coordinator for Off-Campus Housing within Off-Campus Student Services. She works closely with landlords and property managers throughout the University District and Columbus areas in order to provide a wide range of resources for students, faculty and staff at The Ohio State University. She not only works with students as they transition from on-campus living to the off-campus areas, but also with students as they live off-campus throughout their undergraduate, graduate, and professional careers.

Dilnavaz is an OSU alumni, having received her B.A. in psychology and sociology in 2000. She was a student employee at OCSS during her undergraduate career and has been working at Off-Campus Student Services since 1997.

Joseph D. Persac

Graduate Administrative Associate

Joseph is a graduate student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program. He comes to Ohio from Louisiana and attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. He graduated in 2008 with a BA in Psychology with emphases in Communication and Forensic Science. Joseph has some undergraduate experience in Housing, Student Government, Admissions, and Leadership Training.

Joseph’s primary role at OCSS is to work with the Commuter Student Organization and Community Ambassadors along with the Adopt-A-Street program.

Administrative Associates

Off-Campus Student Services employs Ohio State students to serve as administrative associates for the office. OCSS has a wonderful, diverse, intelligent staff who work diligently to assist all its customers.
