Commuter Mentoring Program

The Commuter Mentoring Program is for first-time commuter students at The Ohio State University. First-time commuters are paired with a Commuter Mentor who serves as a mentor throughout the semester. The Commuter Mentoring program’s goal is to increase the commuter student retention rate, increase individual attention provided to first-time commuters and to ensure first-time commuters are aware of on-campus events and resources. The Commuter Mentor serves as a resource for students to go to with all questions and concerns, as well as, connects mentees with campus resources and events while providing regular check-ins and reflections with mentees.
