Property Owner FAQs

I’m a property owner and have a tenant that has tested positive for COVID-19.  What resources are available? What should I do?

If you have a resident that has tested positive more information is available on the Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website.

Due to de-densification of the residence halls, the university does not have space in residence halls to provide quarantine and isolation housing to students who do not hold university housing contracts. Ohio State is working with local hotels to secure rates and other information for students who may need quarantine or isolate off-campus.

Please share the Quarantine and Isolation Resource Guide with your student tenants.

I’m a property owner and have been getting reports that a tenant continues to host gatherings of 10+ gatherings. What are the resources available to me?

Concerns about large gatherings and events can be reported to https://go.osu.edu/conductcomplaint.

Students can also utilize Student Conduct’s mediation service. Only one person is required to be an Ohio State student in order to take advantage of this free service. https://studentconduct.osu.edu/for-students/student-mediation-program/
