Update

Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities will be administered in compliance with the law as of June 27, 2025.

Sports and Sexual Violence: The Impact on Black Athletes

Date: Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Location: Zoom: https://osu.zoom.us/j/95295047398?pwd=ta1w0saXKMih1cfsWWXWBE7lidmbFT.1

Cost: Free

Sexual violence uniquely appears in the athletic spaces in the form of unfair power dynamics and exclusion that non-student athletes may not have to face. For Black athletes, especially at a PWI (Predominantly White Institution), these power dynamics become increasingly complex. This webinar will explore the unique challenges that Black student-athletes face, and begin to discuss how we can better support Black athletes on our campus.
