Update

Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities will be administered in compliance with the law as of June 27, 2025.

Off-Campus Community Welcome

Each year, the week prior to classes starting, Community Ambassadors, and many other volunteers across the university and city welcome new and returning residents in the University District. The purpose of the meet and greet is to introduce the Community Ambassadors and provide students with essential off-campus living information, as well as information of our office's resources.

The Off-Campus Community Welcome Block Party is held during Welcome Week to introduce neighbors to community and city resources to assist in your time in Columbus. This event is for on-campus, off-campus and commuter students to come together and meet neighbors in the University District in a fun and casual environment! We will also have free food and drinks available for all attendees!
