• Other Amenities: The owner is a long-time resident of Columbus, OH. The rental rooms are in the same house where Sipra Pimputkar lives with her two dogs. The dogs are well trained and will not disturb the guests. The house is located on a quiet residential street, close to Riverside Hospital, and is along the 'Bus Route'. (It takes less than a minute’s walk to the bus stop.) Please check out www.COTA.com. Bus #1 goes directly to campus, and it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get to most departments of OSU. The bike path is within easy access and renters often bike to campus and elsewhere when they can. Grocery stores, restaurants, and drug stores are available along the bus route to campus. Parking for those with cars is street-side. While living in this house, each renter is part of the family and will be assigned tasks such as you might have at your own home, such as cleaning or yard work. A total of 2 rooms are available for rent to short- or long-term residents at the house. The owner is interested in renting to responsible, serious, quiet adults preferably graduate students, scholars and professors. Otherwise gainfully employed adults are also welcome. Both rooms to be rented are upstairs, with a third bedroom upstairs occupied by the owner and her dogs. There is one full bathroom upstairs. The bathroom has been recently completely remodeled and rebuilt. There are two bedrooms for rent downstairs as well. The downstairs bathroom has been completely rebuilt recently. Bathrooms are cleaned and wiped by each resident each day each time after using, leaving them fresh and clean and spotless for the next user. The kitchen has also been entirely rebuilt. Residents who enjoy cooking are welcome to do so. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large stove/oven unit with four stoves, and microwave. Dishes, pots and pans are available for your use. There Is an Air-Fryer oven, toaster and other appliances making it fun to cook, as also a dishwasher-making cleanup easy. It is the responsibility of each resident to completely clean the kitchen after each use and leave it grease, stain and odor free. Rooms are equipped with all that a guest could need. Each bedroom has dressers, closets, desks, lamps, refrigerators, etc. Towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, and comforters are provided if needed. (Each of these items is freshly dry-cleaned or laundered prior to the arrival of new guests.) Each of the bedrooms rents for $675 a month, due to be paid in full on the first day of each month. There is an additional ‘Supplies Fee’ of $75 per month to cover the cost of hand/dishwashing/laundry soaps; toilet paper, facial tissue, and hand towels; and plastic products used at home. Rent includes all utilities: there is no additional charge for the use of water, electricity or gas heat or air-conditioning, or for the use of kitchen stove/oven/refrigerator/dishes, pots and pans etc. Laundry machine and clothes dryer are available without charge and soap and fabric softener are provided. Wireless Internet service (high speed fiber-optics, whole-house Internet for multiple users) is free and available 24/7 (or all the time) as well. Internet cable allows you to watch a variety of cable stations. There is a written contract to be completed before arrival. One-months’ notice and rent are required if a renter decides to depart earlier than the stated departure date and the deposit is forfeited. Occasional overnight guests are welcome only with the prior permission of the owner. The cost of having an overnight visitor is $40/night. If a guest stays for longer than a week they are required to pay the additional miscellaneous charge. This privilege of having overnight guests does not include casual acquaintance and requires the owner’s prior permission. A written renter’s contract or lease agreement is to be signed prior to arrival. Deposit or Prepayment of $200, is required to reserve the room. The deposit will be returned at the end of the stay, if it is not used for any service or repairs for which the renter is responsible, or if it is not used to cover the cost of lost rent if the guest doesn’t show up or leaves early. It cannot be used to pay rent. Please arrange to provide a bank-draft/Paypal or cash or Zelle App to pay the $200 deposit and for all rent. The Paypal account is sipra_pimputkar@msn.com. The deposit will be returned at the end of the visit if not used for damages or repairs. Please note that the ‘service charges’, and loss due to differences in exchange rate through Paypal will be paid by the renter. Checks from foreign banks are not accepted by landlady’s bank. Zelle App (Third party App by Chase Bank) is favored by Sipra, as it only needs phone numbers to send and receive money and the money transaction to and from the banks occurs immediately. The home is equipped with a security system. If you are interested, please complete the following immediately for your contract: (1) Have your OSU professor/supervisor/sponsor or office manager email from their OSU email account (@osu.edu) confirming your visiting status at OSU, with name of Department, and what you will be doing at OSU, and for how long. (2) Send a deposit of $200 US dollars, which is required to reserve your room along with your completed Lease Contract. Th deposit money will be returned if unused at the end of visit. The month’s rent and supply fee is required to be paid on arrival, and by the first day of each month. There is a fine of additional $10 for each day that the rent is late.
